Introducing Mrs. Emmaline Brown: A Dedicated Intervention Specialist at Eagle Elementary

At Eagle Elementary of Akron, a K-5, tuition-free public school in the Kenmore Neighborhood, we are fortunate to welcome a new student support team member. Meet Mrs. Emmaline Brown, affectionately known as "Mrs. Brown" by her students. With an impressive background in reading and literature, she is taking on the role of Intervention Specialist, bringing a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the classroom.

Mrs. Brown's passion for teaching is evident in her eagerness to empower her students with essential reading skills. When asked about her goals for the year, she expressed her excitement for teaching reading skills, highlighting her deep-rooted commitment to fostering literacy among young learners. Her dedication to this subject is rooted in her extensive experience and background in reading education.

Her journey in education began in 1998 in Canton City, where she dedicated 20 years to the school district, teaching a wide range of grade levels from Kindergarten to sixth grade. In 2018, after a brief hiatus to raise her youngest child, she ventured into the role of an intervention specialist at the high school level before finding her true calling back in elementary education.

As an Intervention Specialist at Eagle Elementary, Mrs. Brown is committed to ensuring that each child receives the support they need to thrive academically. Her warm and approachable demeanor and extensive teaching experience make her an invaluable asset to our school community. With her dedication to reading education and the individual growth of our students, Mrs. Brown is poised to impact their academic journeys significantly. 

Beyond her professional life, Mrs. Brown has a rich personal life that includes a loving husband and seven children, spanning ages from 5 to 22 years old. Together, they cherish family time, with camping and beach trips ranking high among their favorite activities.

Her passion for reading and commitment to her students make her a remarkable addition to the Eagle Elementary team.
